Osiec Secretary
Hon Surv. Ogunola Akinboye Ajiboye

Hon Surv. Ogunola Akinboye Ajiboye was born to the Ogunola family of Osa in Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Osun State on the 12th of April 1950. He had early education and obtained requite qualifications; Teacher’s Grade II Certificate: Jan., 1971, G.C.E. ‘O’ Level, University of London, Jan., 1971; G.C.E. ‘A’ Level, University of London/West African Examinations Council, Nov. 1971/Jan. 1972 respectively; B.Sc.-Soc. Sc. (Geog.), University of Ile-Ife June 1975; Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria: Sept.1977; Nigerian Surveyors’ Licence: Nov., 1983 (a status changed to Registered Surveyor in 1989); Diploma in Computer Studies February, 1994; First Course in French Language at the Alliance Francaise, Ibadan, Nigeria, June 1995 to June, 1996; Postgraduate Diploma in Geographic Information System (PGDGIS) Federal School of Surveying, Oyo Oct., 1999; M. Sc. (Environmental Control and Management), O.A.U., Ile-Ife, 2002.

He commence his working experience as a classroom teacher; teaching in primary and secondary schools from Jan. 1971 to April 1972. He became library assistant at the University of Ibadan May 1972 to Sept. 1972. He had his mandatory National Service year in 1975 to 1976 where he service as a classroom teacher. Upon completion of National Service, he took employment as Senior Surveyor with Makinson Surveys 1977 to 1979. He became self employed as practising surveyor from 1971 to 1999. He was appointed the Secretary to Local Government, Ola-Oluwa March 1991 to March 1993. He returned back to his private service in Surveying and Geo-informatics from 1993 to 2004. With this period of private practice he serviced as Part-time Lecturer in Land Surveying at Federal Polytechnic Ede, October 1994 to October, 1997. Lecturer in Geographic Information System at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, March 2000 to 2002. He was appointed to the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission as Electoral Commissioner and Secretary to the Commission in January 2004 where he is actively serving till date.

In his practice as a surveyor, he was involved in;
i. Cadastre Surveys: Properties, Perimeter and Topographical Surveys of small, Medium and Large parcel and      industrial/residential layouts.
ii. Oil-well fixations
   (a) Preliminary investigations (PI)
   (b) Full preparation
iii Control Surveys of the second order
iv Route Surveys.
