TINUBU INAUGURATES NEW ELECTORAL COMMISSION
The immediate past Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , on May 18th, 2007 inaugurated new members of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), which has Hon. Justice Fatai Afolabi Adeyinka (Rtd) as the chairman.
Other members of the Commission are, Electoral Commissioners; Hon. Mashood Tokunbho Amele, Barr. Musibau Adewale Oyefeso, Mrs. Felicia Kuemaho Oriola, Barr. Tokun Pedro, Mr, Adeoye Ogundipe and Saheed Olalekan Mabinuori. While Mr. Adeyinka Tajudeen Jeje was appointed to serve as Secretary to the Commission.
Justice Adeyinka in his acceptance speech promised to do everything possible to conduct a free and fair election into the Local Government Councils in Lagos State, adding that necessary machineries will be put in place to ensure adequate information to all Political parties and other stake holders in the state. |

JUSTICE ADEYINKA BAGS AWARD.
Hon. Justice Fatai Adeyinka (Rted), the chairman, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) recently bagged an award of the Knight Command of Pea Cock (KCOP) of the Island Club, Lagos.
The Award which was presented by the executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola. (SAN) was in recognition of his past activities/achievement towards the development of the Club, Lagos State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The ceremony was witnessed by eminent personalities in the state, including the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among many other dignitaries.
