MR. JEJE ADEYINKA TAJUDEEN

Mr. Jeje Adeyinka Tajudeen, an experienced Civil Servant and Administrator per excellence, was born into the Jeje's family of the ancient City of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on the 29th April, 1957. The young Jeje attended C.M.S. Grammar School, Bariga Lagos for his post-primary education between 1970-1974 where he sat for and passed his West African School Examination, after which he proceeded to the famous Adeola Odutola College Ijebu-Ode between 1977-1979 for his H.Sc. Certificate.

The young Jeje with a passion for a brighter future proceeded to the University of Lagos for his Higher Education pursuit between 1979-1982 and bagged a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy. Mr. Jeje proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife between 1986-1987 on an in-service development Training programme for post-graduate in P.G.D in Public Administration. Mr. Jeje began his working career in 1984 at the Lagos State Health Management Board till 1986, when he went for an in-service-training. In the Ministry of Finance where he served meritoriously. Between 1990 - 1992, he worked in the then Women Service Commission after which he cut his short at the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives between 1992-1994. Mr. Jeje also worked in the Lagos State Civil Service Commission between 1994 - 1997.

His administrative excellence, gathered over the years in the Public Service of the State, encouraged his deployment into the Land Use and Allocation Committee between 1997 - 2001 after which in 2001 he was appointed Secretary, Staff Housing Board in the Public Service Office (PSO), a post he held till 2003 when he was appointed Secretary, State Consultancy Board in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.

Mr, Jeje rose to the post of Director (Finance and Administration), State Treasury Office (STO) in the Ministry of Finance in 2004 and was on this post till 2006 when he was redeployed to the Ministry of Establishments and Training as Director, (Finance and Administration). His progression within the Service began as an Assistant Secretary II on Grade Level 08 and rose across board to his present status of Deputy Director Grade Level 16.

Mr, Jeje is professionally affiliated to many professional organizations which include; Associate Member - Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Member- Institutional Development Committee (CIPMN), 2005 till date, elected member - Governing Council of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, 2005 -2006, 2006 - 2007 and 2007 - 2008 respectively, Member - Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM) 2006 to date. An Administrator per-excellence, Mr. Jeje has participated in some special assignments among which are; Secretary, the Presidential Committee on Lagos State Explosion Disaster- 2002, Setting up the Administrative Office of the World Bank Project Financial Management Unit - 2005 as well as Secretary, The Tribunal of Inquiry into the Kosoko Chieftaincy Family Disputes - 2006, He had also attended many courses both home and abroad which include; International Conferences on Labour and Management Issue - U.K., July 1996; Conflict Management and Trade Dispute Resolutions (MCPE) CIPMN - Dec. 2005 and the International Federation of Training and Development Organization (IFTDO) 35th World Conference year 2006, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, among many others. Taking cognizance of a popular saying, "All works and no play, makes Jack a dull boy", Mr. Jeje apart from his tight administrative schedule, also created time for participation in some extra-curricular /community activities. He was between 1990- 1993 the Secretary, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Vice Chairman of the same Association between 1993- 1995 and National Treasurer, Democratic Socialist Movement, 1993 - 1995. He was also the National secretary, Campaign for Independent Unionism, 1993 - 1996. Organized a lecture on "New Pensions Reforms Act; the Implications for Lagos State Public Servants", under the auspices of the Lagos State Public Service Human Resource Forum.

Until his recent appointment as Secretary to Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASlEC), by His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Jeje was a member, Ojodu Community Development Association, 2004 till date and also belongs to the Lagos State civil Service Club, Prime Family Club of Lagos State and New Horizon Club of Lagos.

He is married and blessed with children.
