» A Message from the Chairperson

We shall work hard to ensure the conduct of free, fair and acceptable Local Government Council General Elections. We shall uphold our integrity and credibility and ensure transparency in all our activities. We pray that SIECs would continue to maintain their independence especially financial independence.

INEC and SIECs have constitutional role to play as clearly outline the 1999 constitution, the idea of integrating the 2 bodies is a not a constitutional development and therefore should be discarded.
