KEBBI STATE ELECTIONS ACTION PLAN 2004

The timeline for the forthcoming election in Kebbi was released to the general public and parties in particular. The State Independent Electoral Commission gave this document out to the interested parties that are preparing to field candidates in the forthcoming elections. RELEASE OF ELECTORAL GUIDELINES.

As a part of elightening the public and political parties of the activities of the forthcoming Local Government General Elections, the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission has released guidelines for participating participating parties and general administration of the elections. According to the Chairperson of the Commission Hajiya Ada Ka'oje, the guidelines would be used all through the process of the elections, therefore all participating parties are to take notice of the guidelines. ELECTIONS PREPARATIONS

The Commission is well prepared for the conduct of the Local Govt. Councils General Elections. We have obtained most of the materials needed for the conduct of election including the ballot boxes/papers and the sensitive forms etc. All other necessary equipment and materials have been procured and stored. We are ready to conduct elections for the:
a) 41 Local Government areas including the new ones.
b) 326 Wards Councillorship elections-delimitation exercise is already completed.
