From our observations materials were evenly distributed on time, the population was properly mobilized, the level of voter education was very good which led to massive and impressive voters turn-out.
At most of the polling centres visited, the Electoral Officials were busy at their bits attending to voters.
From our observations, two parties namely the ANPP and the PDP were dominant competing for power.
Business activities were closed between the hours of 8am and 4pm and there were eagerness on the part of voters to cast their voters.

Officials of KANSIEC were fully alive to their responsibilities ensuring a hitch free poll.
Our observation team visited more than 20 Local Government Area’s of the State including Kano Municipal Council, Nassarwa, Dala, Fagge, Kura and Sumaila among others. Generally the conduct was peaceful and voters conducted themselves in orderly manner. However there was one isolated incident in Kura Local Government at Zaria Road Poll centre were some rowdy behaviours were observed. Baring this the team was satisfied with the conduct of the exercise from the results so far declared as at The time of going to the press by 1pm on Sunday the 18th November 2007, both the ANPP and the PDP are struggling for dominance.

We observed however that voters did not leave the polling stations after voting contrary to the clear provisions of the law.

The Forum congratulates the KANSIEC for a job well done and urge other SIECS to learn from any observed mistake in the conduct of their Local Government Elections.
The Forum conveys its appreciation to the security agencies and gentlemen of the press for an excellent job in maintaining watertight security and ensuring wide coverage of the poll respectively.
