All
Political parties in Enugu State are assured of equal treatment,
a credible Local Government election by ENSIEC. Enugu State Independent
Electoral Commission advises the good people of Enugu state to use
their votes wisely.

HISTORY,
MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVE OF ENSIEC.
The
Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission Law No. 2 of 2000 established
the commission. The promulgation of the law was in compliance with
section 197 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria.
The
Commission (ENSIEC) was inaugurated on the 25th of April 2001, with
the Chairman and seven commissioners taking oath of Office on that
date. However one of the commissioner resigned his appointment as
a commissioner with effect from 1st of April, 2003 leaving the Commission
with The Chairman and six commissioners and a Secretary.
COMMISSION MISSION OBJECTIVE
The
of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission is to conduct
a free, fair and credible Local Government Elections in the state,
the reason for which it is established.
To delineate wards where necessary in any Local Government Area
of Enugu State
