LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION RESULTS RELEASED.

The summary of the election for the chairmanship positions in the twenty-two local goernment areas of Delta State where election took place on the 27th March, 2004 have been released by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission. SEE DETAILS

In accordance to the requirement for Electoral Commissions to give a mandatory notice to for the commencement of activities leading to conduction of elections, the Delta state Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) shall issue the notice of the intention to conduct local council elections through the office of the Director of Public Affair.

In furtherance of public information towards the Local Government Council Elections in Delta State, the State’s Electoral commission through the Electoral Commissioner in charge of Election matters has released a timetable for the activities for the elections billed to hold on the 27th of March 2004. According to her the time table is going to be strictly adhered to by the commission to make it possible for the elections to hold without any hitch. She therefore advised all parties and state holders to comply with the timing as not to be left out in the scheme of things.
